Wedding Mass/service

An IoL wedding choir comprises:

  1. Complete set of music for a wedding Mass/service

  2. One lead musician on (digital) pipe organ or piano

  3. Three to four choristers (including cantor and animator)

  4. An IoL musician at the wedding rehearsal

We also provide music for renewal of vows or convalidation ceremonies in church. Contact us to make arrangements.

To engage IoL for wedding Masses/services:

  1. Please fill up this form.

  2. We will contact you to discuss further on how we can tailor a personalised repertoire that resonates with your event.

  3. Obtain permission in advance from the church to use the instrument(s) during the rehearsal and on the wedding day, e.g. (digital) pipe organ, piano, etc.

  4. Choose the music (and readings) at least 1 month ahead of the wedding. (Refer to our recommendations for options.)

  5. Finalise the repertoire at least 1 month ahead of the wedding to secure the booking.

  6. Provide the rehearsal date once it is confirmed, an IoL musician will be present to rehearse the walk-in/out.

  7. IoL will arrive early at church on your blessed wedding day!

The choir will typically lead the sung liturgy of the Mass/service (as applicable, e.g. Gloria, The Lord’s Prayer, etc.).

Wedding FAQs

  • Please contact IoL once you have the confirmed date, time and venue of your wedding to soft book our schedule. It will be good if you already have the readings and psalm set.

    Music selection should be finalised at least 1 month ahead of the wedding to secure the booking.

  • Music within a Mass must be appropriate for the liturgy, i.e. Entrance to Communion hymn. There are a wide selection of hymns available to choose from and we can recommend based on your readings. Please consult your presiding priest if unsure.

    Music for the walk-in/out is traditionally a classical piece but can be replaced with a song that is meaningful to the couple and still respectful within a church setting.

  • We highly recommend the (digital) pipe organ to better support congregational singing and align with the spirit of the liturgical actions. We are also able to use the piano where preferred.

    Please obtain permission from the church in advance to use the instrument(s) available.
